Job Details

  • Monitors shipments of overnight mail sent and received and other outgoing mail from the assigned Field Offices.
  • Maintains the assigned Field Offices' itineraries, organizational charts, and Employee Directories and assists with updating Emergency Preparedness Plans.
  • Orders flowers and fruit baskets for expressions of sympathy and acknowledgments of personal events, and orders refreshments for meetings.
  • Supports the region's Field Supervisors and Supervisory Examiners in performing administrative duties for departing employees, including the collection of FDIC-owned property and the preparation of applicable administrative forms.
  • Creates and monitors WEBTA examination accounts, training accounts, and other accounts. Reviews employees' WEBTA Reports to verify accuracy, enters edited/corrected data into the computer system, and assists management with processing WEBTA timesheets. Provides clarifying guidance to management and examination staff on WEBTA and leave issues, tracks FFLA/FMLA leave and credit hours, prepares leave audits, and prepares and electronically transmits the weekly FDIC Field Office itineraries to applicable parties
  • Reconciles monthly procurement card statements to purchased items and budget considerations, and processes payments applying appropriate cost codes.
  • Orders telephone connections/disconnections associated with the onboarding and exiting of employees. If applicable, operates security system software and systems that allow employees access to FDIC offices and/or facilities. Serves as a liaison with building management and/or contractors and technicians from outside vendors (Iron Mountain, Air Conditioning Repairmen, Fire Extinguishers, etc.) and assists with Field Office relocations.
  • Solicits supply needs from managers and staff; places and expedites orders for supplies; verifies receipt of supplies; and orders and procures staff business cards

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 05 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience serving in an office support capacity in at least 4 of the following tasks: drafting correspondence, managing mail and postage, tracking activities and project completion, filing records, receiving callers to the office, and using software to prepare written materials.

How You Will Be Evaluated?

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
